Can't enter BIOS
« on: April 30, 2005, 04:40:24 PM »
I have an old Compaq Presario 9232 that we are trying to install OS.  I cannot enter the BIOS screen.  There is no ref to ket to enter.  Have tried all possibilities.  Hold INS key down and receive two beeps, then F1 Boot comes up.  F1 and F10 will continue the boot but no other key will get me into BIOS.  HELP PLEASE??

There is no key to enter BIOS, if hard drive has been wiped clean or replaced.  I had a couple like those.  It's doing exactly the same as mine did.

No.  Just be glad it boots.  If you have to hit F1 every time, it might need a new battery.  If not, live with it, or throw it out.
