AVG against AVAST

i have avg 8.0 but i would rather have 7.5 and i see a lot of people are having

 trouble with AVG  , do the experts think avast is better

i have mbam installed , avg is anti virus ?? is it not

thank you everyone i read the comments i find avg  very slow and cannot get into

 it , i think i will go with avast , can i have the link to uninstall avg completely please ,

    I have used both and avast is way better...
    1 day I will get a faster computer.

    I think I can spark a better opinion on it now:

    I did a reformat a few months ago, and I felt too lazy to dig up my avast serial number, so I installed AVG.

    I am really not liking it. Its annoying how it does updates, its annoying how it tells you you should upgrade to the next version, and its annoying how the entire control panel is layed out.
    Definitely stick with Avast.
    The only reason I havent gone back is simply because I am lazy, its on my list of things to do.
