the problem is I have already upgraded to XP so that is probably why it is running so slow.  I did that a couple years ago actually.  it has gotten worse as the days go by.  how hard will it be for me to open the pcu and drop in more RAM?  I have two slots, one which will hold another  126 and another that will hold 256.  I ran crucial.com on it.

No worries, just want to know what we're dealing with before we give advice.

Yeah, that system would really struggle to run XP. 128MB RAM is part of the problem. The processor is also a bit slow. You'd be much better off leaving 98 on it.

You'd want to get at least a total of 512MB

Crucial is not always 100% correct. Do you know the make and model of the motherboard?
