After disconnecting the PC to do a cleaning when i reconnected everything everything started ok but now when i left click on a icon to open a program it wont open i have to right click on the icon then ckick open to get the program to open. Running XP PRO.

This will sound like a stupid question but I have to ask.. are you double clicking on the left button?? We need to hear the basics first.

if the mouse buttons were swapped, the right mouse button wouldn't present the menu.

does the item become selected when you left click? does anything respond to left clicking?
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

can you try another mouse? Could be a problem with the mouse.

or you could try that mouse on another PC.
