Pretty interesting, especially with the high encryption and the inability of experts to determine the what the instructions are.

Imagine the good that would happen if the creator(s) became White-Hats! But untill then, we can just HOPE that we don't get infected...

Us non-Americans are OK then, judging by the title line, because we've got until 4th September... Why is it picking on USians 5 months before everyone else? Is it because of Iraq?

To us in Europe, people in Canada, Mexico, Argentina, etc, in fact every country in North, Central and South America are "Americans" really. So USian makes clear where you mean. (Of course everybody knows what "American" usually means) Also writing "USian" is a sort of way of letting people know that you don't necessarily think the sun shines out of Uncle Sam's *censored*, that grew up during Dubya's reign. In France, my other country, we call them "Ricains".

Might want to point out that since Conficker infected CNN's website, any link on their website brings you to some "VirusScanner.com" site and fakes a virus attack then downloads a setup file to Program Files. Fortunately it doesn't run automatically on download. So don't head to CNN.com.

Should run  Avast and see what it brings up.

        um...

that has nothing to do with Conficker, though... aside from you thinking it was at first.
