    browser windows not opening

    I have a gateway laptop 400SD4. Running on windows xp. Everytime i try to get on the internet I try to open a window it pops up and then disappears. It doesn't minimize it just disappears. any idea how to fix this

      when i click on my internet button the window that opens flashes on screen and then disappears. I cant get the window to stay up. it started a week ago not sure why. Browser is internet explorer

        Do you have any browser aside from IE like Mozilla Firefox?
