I haven't downloaded the beta, for people who have what did you like about and what didn't you like? And do you think it will be successful or a flop?

Based off reviews and everything I've read on it I'm imagining it'll be a success.

Thanx for adding it to the Calender Nathan...

Personally MS's success will be determined by their pricing this time around...
They seem to have gotten the hard work out of the way as 7 is robust, snappy and lightweight enough for alot of existing machines...
However if they price themselves out of the market in a sagging economy they risk blowing it all.

Nathan, why did you add the release as today? Shouldn't it be "Release Date Revealed" or something like that?

Oops will be fixed. I'm also still disappointed that everything I've read indicates they're having multiple versions of Vista. They really should take after Apple and make one big version or at the most only two versions and not 4-6 different versions.

Did you mean to say multiple versions of Windows 7, or multiple versions like Vista?

Actually, I have to agree with the multiple editions. If they were to have one edition- it would include everything and be priced as such. Not everybody, for example, needed the encrypting filesystem from XP Pro- and not everybody needs bitlocker or windows dreamscene from Vista ultimate.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

I agree for the most part.  I do think that it will be better, kind of wanting to get a copy of vista do you think that its cheaper know?  Wonder if I will get a chance to use this, we had to make some cuts in were my dad worked so not sure.

Yeah sorry, meant to say multiple *editions*, e.g. Windows 7 Home Premium vs. Windows 7 Professional vs. Windows 7 Enterprise edition ...
