Screen goes black after windows 98 loads on my kids computer.  I reloaded windows 98 on their computer but the screen still goes black after it loads?  Any suggestions?

Sounds like a video card issue... When does this happen? When you load a large program? At startup?

It happened after my daughter loaded a game (some kid game) in the cdrom then it just stopped working.  I can see it loading and windows 98 pops up and then it goes black.  I can't see the start up screen with all the icons on it.  Sorry I don't know all the technical names for the screens. Any help would be appreciated I am still trying to get it to work. - Thanks, Karen

    Give it a little time to make sure it's fully booted up then hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and look in your task manager for stalled applications.
