Help with Active Desktop

 >:(I'm missing tabs in my Active Desktop and can't seem to restore them.  I just get one desktop on top of the other.  I tried System Restore but it does nothing.  Only my Screensaver and Settings appear!  Has anyone else had this problem?  ???
