Microsoft office 2007 small business edition

Since loading office 2007 3 days ago (previously had office 2003}my computer has slowed down to a virtual crawl. Emails take 40 seconds to open and control panel takes almost 2 min. to open.  Spell check on this post took 45 Seconds.  Any thoughts?

What are your hardware (processor, RAM, etc.) specs?  How large is your hard drive?  How much free space on it?
