Well, I only know who Michael Jackson is.

You don't know who Farrah Fawcett is?

Ed McMahon was the guy on the commercials for the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes.

I heard that Rick Moranis died too.

Another hoax. He's not dead. That hoax surfaced in 2004. If it were true, he appeared in Brother Bear II (2006), declined to voice his character in the Ghostbusters game in 2008, and will be appearing in Ghostbusters 3 (2011-12?) all from the grave.

All I heard was that MJ would be able to do the 'Thriller 2' video in the next month or so.

All I've gotta say is good riddance, and, who's gonna replace them? Someone always replaces the fallen ones, and then theres more crap on the off news shows. I hate pop culture, if I get some money I'm moving to the friggin' woods. No cable, I hate TV, absolutely hate it. Use an aircard for internet and I'm good, you cannot escape Verizon here, there everywhere, they used the mountains to there advantage, but I don't think they own half the towers here, I think there rented for mutli-broadcast to multiple companies... Man, who really owns anything anymore but some corporation or the government its self? Did you know that the five major news networks are all government affiliated? MSNBC, Fox, BBC, CNN, and theres another I can't remember... I better shut up before I start ranting again, anyway, one less freak in the world is all I gotta say about MJ. The Texan's would be cheering but his ranch has long been empty.

And I agree with patio, but I like it that way, I don't want to be famous, just want to disappear with the wind one of these days. Be it tomorrow or eighty years and nearly two months from now when I turn 100, I don't care, atleast when I'm dead noone will be bothering me to fix crap.

Sad when anyone dies regardless of their social status. Deepest sympathies to all their families.

I'm sorry but the BBC 'British broadcasting centre' is not affiliated with my government. In fact if you work at the BBC you cannot also do any work for the government. Even though Sir Alan Sugar seems to be pushing that boundary.
The BBC 'the largest broadcaster in the world' is technically owned by the public under a royal charter.

There's still George Bush...

I wonder how the networks are government affiliated...

They aren't, but they are all biased in one direction or the other.

On a side note, I just heard Michael Jackson's theme song.  Enter the Sand Man

Yes, much is made of media bias, but it isn't always merely a "liberal" bias.  That bias is often corporate, depending upon the owners of the media outlet.

Well the BBC is unique as it is funded by the British public and can have no affiliations with the government. That's what it stands for.

Yes, and many people here in the US turn to the BBC for that unbiased viewpoint.
