    This is weird....

Can you post a screenshot of all sub-keys of this folder:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers

I assume, you were pasting only this part:

    :reg
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers /s

    without "Code" word.

Firstly,I'd love to send you a screenshot,Broni, but how do I go about doing that!

Secondly, sorry, not sure what you mean by "code" word.

      Cheers

OK, I have a better idea.
      Open registry editor, navigate to:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers
right click on Handlers folder, click Export, and save it to know location.

Zip the file, and attach it to your next reply.

      To zip a file(s)...
      Download, and install 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
Right click on a file, you want to zip.
Click 7-zip, then Add to archive.
Click on drop-down menu, next to Archive format, and select zip format.
      Click OK.
You'll find zipped file (.zip extension) in the same folder as the original file.

Thanks for bearing with me,Broni, and apologies for the unavoidable
        lapses in our corresponding.

OK!After following carefully the steps in your last post, two things
        happened which confused me:

Firstly, I wasn't able to locate the zipped file in the 7-zip program.
I'm sure it's there but not being able to find it is a result of my
lack of experience in using zip sofware.

Secondly, the above Handlers file which I zipped using 7-zip appeared
in my Winrar which I am equally unfamiliar with.

        Please advise!

OK - Right-clicking on the zipped file gives me the following:

          7-Zip    >     Open Archive
                         Extract files ...
                         Extract Here  ...
                         Extract to "Handlers\"
                         Test archive
                         Add to archive  ...
                         Compress and email  ...
                         Add to "Handlers.7z"
                         Compress to "Handlers.7z" and email
                         Add to "Handlers.zip"
                         Compress to "Handlers.zip" and email

Not sure which of the above - if any - I should follow in order
to get the file to you.

          Right-clicking on the zipped file
I thought, you had a problem to zip the file.

If it's a typo, right click on handlers.reg file, click 7-zip, then Add to archive.
Click on drop-down menu, next to Archive format, and select zip format.
          Click OK.
You'll find zipped file (.zip extension) in the same folder as the original file.

Bear with me here,Broni, because - as mentioned previously - I
have no idea of working with file compression software and am having
difficulty trying to get this zip file to you!

Please can you explain in simpler terms what you mean by "the same
            folder as the original file."

            Thanks for your patience!

Zipped file will in the very same location as handlers.reg file. The name of it will be handlers.zip

The stumbling block here is locating the "correct" zip file!

As a result of the few but confused attempts to follow your
recent posts,I now have what all appear to me as three zip files.

Placing the mouse cursor over the first of these says that it's
a Registration Entry type file and is named "Handlers".Opening
the file brings up a Registry Editor dialogue box asking if I want
to add the information to the registry.

The second is a WinRAR ZIP archive type file also named "Handlers".
Double-clicking this file brings up only the "Handlers.zip" file
              in WINRAR.

The third of these is my WINRAR program which, after opening,
contains both of the above files.

Lastly,I can't find the file anywhere in 7-zip - the program
initially used to zip the Handlers!

              I don't mind admitting that I'm confused!

              Please advise!

              Many Thanks

Can't find any "Attach file" facility or anything similar on
                WINRAR's toolbar!

Does WINRAR use a different command for this action?

                Thanks
