    « on: August 05, 2009, 03:32:18 PM »
I have a a Dell GX260 that seem to keep putting the hard drive to Ultra dma mode 2. The bio has a setting for hard drive to make it Quit, suggested or performance i think there's other ones but cant remember. when i put it to performance it does ultra dma 5 when you restart computer its still on dma 5 but at random times it goes back to dma mode 2 and i have to go into bio and just save and exit and it goes back to dma mode 5. So why does this seem to happen?

UDMA2 is pretty current... a drive will not run over it's capacities whether you set it that way or not...

Sorry forget to put model number of Hard drive. The hard drive model number is WD200BB. It Says DMA/ATA100, it can be seen Here and Here . when its on dma mode 5 it does run better so it should support it
