after seeing these you will see what i mean

I'm not quite sure. I had office 2003 which I got with my computer (it was installed by the store owner) and something wierd happened and something corrupted all my office programs. I dug up my cd and then I realised some bad news. Cracked down the center.

My uncle had an office cd which he burned for me. I installed it without a hitch but to my suprise, I got no prompt for serial key. I sure hope it's not pirated!

i do not have pirated software
i have only downloaded one pirated thing ever
and i got spyware from it an removed it
and will never again download anything pirated
but i dont want microsofts spyware

It would be the same as borrowing an XP CD to do a repair/clean install...
This is perfectly legal and well within your rights under the EULA...

Actually you may want to contact MS about the original CD...they have a replacement program for certain situations.
