Ok so today when my wife started her laptop it was messed up. The first thing she noticed was that it was in window classic theme. Then she had no internet either and it was saying that it was on AC power when it wasn't plugged in. So then we went in to my network places and the only thing there was "my websites on msn." then we went to my network connections and it is blank, nothing there just a box with white and the things on the side if you want to add a connection ect. So tried adding a connection and nothing happened didnt work. I also went to device manager and that was blank too. Then I noticed plug and play wasn't on cause I used a flash drive to get her resume so she could apply to jobs and that wasn't working either. So we ran avast and it found one virus, but still things weren't working. So I went into safe mode with networking and there the flash drive worked and the device manager had everything there again but still no internet. So I went back to regular mode so i can post what it was doing but then the flash drive works now and the device manager is back but no internet and still in classic theme (if i try to take it out of classic theme there is no option for windows xp theme.) still network connections are blank but device manager says networking card is working fine. What else can it be?
