My DSL connection was workin just fine until suddenly when i started my pc today , i got a "Network cable is unplugged " message ... the problem is not from the connection as it's working fine on another computer .... i uninstalled the NIC driver and reinstalled it but it's no use ... so what to do ?

I use Cox 100MPs cable at a new building and have had the same problem.

    1) Don't split connection with your TV

    2) Disconnect the wall connection, wait a few seconds, reconnect  and reboot

    3) Use some of the ipconfig /?  options at command prompt

    4) Right click the local connection icon at bottom right and choose repair
