    It was back in 2004 that the board came out so you cannot get new chips for it only used ones
    and from what I have found out if we knew what max processor  it could have (onboard cache,fsb and such I could tell him which one to get) but as it is old 90nm cores only  I think? and maybe 400mhz fsb or 533 mhz fsb
    I think he can only go up to a p4 2.8 may be wrong as they only have a 533 mhz fsb any higher and you need 800 mhz fsb supported board

      You can still get new ones.  And You can go up to 3.2ghz actually.

      That chip is for a 800mhz based board(newer) I stand by the the ebay selection as the 2.8ghz based p4's  are 533mhz based chips and that is what his board supports
