Cd Burner Win 98

Hi,

 I have a windows 98 and it has a Panasonic Justlink Cd burner  and a DVD Rom. were can i get drivers for both of these drives.

CD-ROMS & DVD-ROM's require no drivers to function.  If you want to burn CD's, you need burning software.

no when i boot the computer on the task bar there is an icon that says
"direct cd no support drive!"

That's a message from the Roxio software you installed stating that the DirectCD function is not supported on that drive.  Do you know what DirectCD is and do you really need it?  Uninstall DirectCD and the message won't display any more.

You will need to travel to Panasonics site and see if they have Win98 drivers...
If that fails do a search for OakRom CD drivers which may do the trick...

They do in Win98...
No special drivers, just like Win2k, WinXP, etc.

You will need to travel to Panasonics site and see if they have Win98 drivers...
If that fails do a search for OakRom CD drivers which may do the trick...
OakRom drivers are for DOS, not Windows.

It's only used in the config.sys, which is not needed to load Windows.

Nero is better, anyway.  Install Nero InCD, if you wish.
