I think this is the proper term, I noticed several moths ago that my computer "skips" like a CD might with a scratch even during the start up sound. I have tried several things to fix the problem with no success and have noticed it even does it during movie play back. what could be causing this. computer is a dell mother board in a VERRE V770 case 80GB hard drive 1gb ram 2.8 GHZ processor on board video and audio.
