Quake 4 - Please Help
« on: November 28, 2009, 01:04:40 AM »
I just recently bought a new laptop, an Asus G72 gaming laptop, and  I wanted to install Quake 4. I've had the game since it was new, but none of the computers I've ever had could handle it. So I went to install it today and right after I put the disc in the laptop it game me an error that only said "Library Not Registered". Every other game I installed today had no problems installing, and any other computer I tried to install Quake 4 on had trouble installing it, just this one. Does anybody know what I'm supposed to do?

    try these things:
    1. disable UAC (if you have windows 7 or vista, you should do this anyway, it also blocked my installer for the crysis sandbox and my antivirus)
    2. buy the game if you have it illegally

disregard this. Use Run As Administrator for the setup program instead.
