Cannot download anything

I only recently have gotten myself a new computer , ive tried to download messenger , itunes , quiktime ect all to download 3/4 of the way threw and then error message me.The error message is usually along the lines with being disconected to server. I am using windows 7 and with optus broadband. oh and by the way i have checked threw previous posts and searched for my answer

More information needed,  r u connecting thru a router, stright to the modem? What brand and model Dell, HP, ect?

Usually something along the lines of cannot download or disconected from server , each is different.

i just tried d/l updated version of msn , it said cannot download would you like to visit site.thats all.The message i get when trying to d/l itunes is "you have been disconected from the server". they all stop at exactaly the same spot every time.

Are you downloading a lot of stuff?
Have you tried to make the list shorter?
Can you download just one song at a time?
What is the name of the site for the download?

nope just trying to download the one program.I havent had any problems d/l music ,the sites are all the official ones to what i have mentioned earlyier.

If you are using Internet Explorer try Firefox or Opera (those are all browsers). Let's see where the problem lies. Download one of those on another computer, transfer it to yours and install it.

Using a different browser didnt work although firefox seems alright lol. It must be a simple problem tho if i was having this problem almost instantly
