(Have spent hours looking). Can the gray shadow associate with the fonts and other items be removed or eliminated?  --- never mind though, I think they have disappeared.  Yea-a-a!

Problem continues: The gray shadow to right of texts and items came back when I started the computer today.

Is there a definite way to eliminate it?  It makeseverything hard read.  Can anyone help?

The text in this box have the gray shadows - a secondary gray ghost.
Seems to happen when going online.  Am using WindowsXP.

Have looked around yesterday (during 6-7 hours) via Display, Fonts, and more.

Can you provide a screenshot? Sounds like a monitor problem to me.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Don'y know how to post a screen shot?  Tried pushing buttons on bottom of Flat Screen Monitor, with no sign of ability to affect the screen.

If it is a low down hardware issue, the screen shot will not show it.
What kind of monitor do you have? The problem can be present on some older analog monitors.
Check you cable. A loose cable can do it.

Too make a screen shot, start paint or similar photo or drawing program. Either minimize or move the program to a corner, hit the nPrnt Scn (print screen) and then enlarge paint, select edit then paste. Save as a GIF or JPG file and attach it to your net post
The attachment is visible only after you post.
