no sound :S

Hi there..

I have a litlle problem.. the other night I was using my computer as usual, just listning to some music and surfing around on the internet, and everything was normal. I didn't install any new program that night. Next morning, I turn on my computer, and there is no sound?! :S I tried using my head-set instead of speakers, but still no sound.. Then I tried to uninstall all codecs and driver for sound, and then re-install, but still --> No sound!
I have tried different players (winamp, zoom player, media player) and nothing works

anyone have an idea of what could be the problem?

This may sound like a stupid question, but is the sound muted?

Also, make sure your speakers are plugged into the green connection thing on the back of your computer, not the red or blue one.

I have checked several times, and the sound is not muted ^^

also, I have cheked several times, that I have plugged it into the right one (the green one). I also have a connection to headset in the front of my computer, and that one doesn't work either.

My guess is that there must be something wrong with the sound card.. I have onboard sound...

If you have onboard sound that is different than a sound card. Have you tried to re-install the sound drivers ? ?
