Problems with Internet Explorer

Almost every time I use Internet Explorer, I receive the "IE has encountered an error and needs to close" message. How can I stop this from happening? Can I uninstall and re-install internet explorer?

The error occurs during random times of internet use.

You can uninstall IE7 (if you have SP3, you must uninstall it first), but before you go there...

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same thing?

That seemed to work but I stopped trying. I gave up and am now using Mozilla Firefox, which has yet to cause me any problems. Thanks for your help.

if you still want IE, you can reset it. But firefox is better, in my opinion, because I see more frequent updates on it and there's more add-ons that I like to use.
