Try filling in IP addresses for both areas... The top one, not the one with all the strange letters and numbers... Numbers only  ;)

Additionally to what Flame already suggested where is it asking for a socket number and what is the game you're attempting to play?

Finally make sure when you're doing the ping command you're pinging the other computer and not the IP address of the computer you're running the ping command on. For example one of your computers is 192.168.0.101, the other could be a different address such as 192.168.0.102. If this were the case you would ping 101 from 102 and 102 from 101.

Flame

The socket number only allows 5 numbers.

I don't even know if the destination network is correct.
and I'm not sure about the socket number.
And I tried entering the ip for the socket number like flame suggested
and this is what it said...

you got 2 numbers in the first part of the IP. I dont know what to say about the socket number though. Haven't been around long enough to understand how old school connections work.
