    bad sector

    if aHD has a bad sector is it posible to fix it?         Thanks

    No. Unfortunately it's not possible to fix a bad sector. However, software utilities such as scandisk can mark the sectors as bad and cause the operating system and other programs to skip that sector and not attempt to write data to it.

    You can't, but, if you run:
    chkdsk /f
    it'll mark that sector as bad, and your computer won't try to access it anymore.
    or...
        * Press the <Start> button.
        * Select <My Computer>.
        * Under Hard Disk Drives highlight the disk which you want to scan.
        * Open the <File> menu and choose <Properties>
        * Open the <Tools> tab.
        * Click the <Check Now...> button.
    However..
    If your hard drive is experiencing a bad sector, back it up immediately. If the bad sector was caused by a faulty drive head, the problem can spread to many other sectors across the disk.

      the problem is that i dont have os on it and i can not install it.

        i checked it  with program HD fitnes drive     a boot cd

        [file cleanup - saving space - attachment deleted by admin]
