You're proposing to replace a motherboard and processor, and maybe a power supply, in a computer.  So, how would using one of the other cases you have be too much effort?  Can you not make to effort to remove and/or install a few other components if necessary?
If you put new or newer components in one of those old cases, then it wouldn't be a "slug pc", would it?   ::)

nah coz they all barely work and i have a working pc right now... its just i want to make my d400 faster

a "case" doesn't work at all. it's an empty shell. you can place components into this empty shell to create your build.

because it's requesting a recommendation. "reviews and recommendations" is for people to recommend products, not get recommended products. this usage is implied with the "reviews" portion, Which clearly implies that the forum is for people to dispense information, not request it.
