Are any files shown when you open My Computer and view the contents of the floppy diskette? If so can you double click the file on the floppy and open the file from My computer?

Can you access files on a different floppy?  If you can't read files on any floppy, replace the drive and try that.  Hopefully it's only a $10 fix to get your pics back.  Unfortunately, floppies are notorious for failing at the most inoportune times.
