    Search Box After Sleep
    « on: March 15, 2010, 07:43:23 AM »
Whenever my Win 7 64-bit PC comes out of Sleep, I have a Windows Search box on my desktop. How do I stop this from appearing?

Well, my first suggestion would be to not use either Sleep or Hibernate. Neither function was truly perfected by Microsoft. They work fine for some folks and cause problems for others. I'd suggest setting the hd & display to power down after a defined period of inactivity. I believe you'll find this a better method of saving power, wear & tear.

I recognize this doesn't actually answer your question, but I hope it does provide a workable alternative solution.

I solved this by updating the software for my keyboard.
