Windows vista slow booting problem occured due to useless programs therefore removing programs from the startup group. Go to start, run, type in msconfig, click on startup and uncheck all unnecessary programs.

DO Ms-config an disable all the services (1st Hide all microsoft services) & Disable all Start-up service in Safe mode & then start your computer in normal mode & check

There might be a conflict between your anti virus and Windows Defender. Make sure Windows Defender is turned off. Windows Defender cannot be uninstalled.
