What do you think of these specs for Computer?

    I'd get a better one if l was you, so if you want to send me yours (ha ha).
    Just make sure you have good backups, imaging etc. as the tb drive will be holding everything and if you lose that, well.......??
    No doubt the more knowledgable people on the site will come up with better answers, but l'm first in line if and when you get rid!

    That is typical of current mid level entry Desktops.
    Very good, but not great.
    Video device is .. mm -just so so.
    Nice hard drive.
    Big LCD.
    How much memory?  Did you say 6GB?
    You need at least 3GB

    Intended use?
    Without that info it's impossible to comment on how good or bad it is ... for £1 it's amazing, for £1000 it's terrible ... for gaming it's useless, for web browsing mad overkill ... you see?
    That's a very weird amount of memory they're put in there too, I'd guess for marketing reasons.

    Why? I'm running Windows 7 on a machine with 2GB.  And, since memory for it is not-so-cheap, I'm not planning on adding more.  Besides, I don't see a need for it.  violetb hasn't said how he intends to use this computer, and that's a critical point here.
