are you going to be playing games on your computer? is this just for web surfing and document writing? A gaming computer is suitable for web surfing and document writing, but vice versa may not be as good. And if you don't want to be playing games on your computer, why spend the top $$?

      Alienware is something i never looked into. PC mag talks about them but I normally dont buy things unless i have them "hands on"
