    my monitor will get blue vertical lines running through it and my pointer will show a
    solid trail of color when i move it...my connections are all secure and i changed monitors and still have the same issue........ help !!! ???

    Re-install your video drivers and reboot...
    If it's still the same your vid card is shot.
