Blue Screen

 I just got a blue screen today and I am having trouble finding out what the problem was. I found the MEMORY.DMP file that was created, but how do I see what the problem was. Is there some program that can read .dmp files?

Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file)
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Also:
I just had another BSOD, but this one was a little different. First, my screen froze, then came back to normal with the message: "ATI display driver failed, but has successfully recovered." Then, a few seconds later, the BSOD happened. Does this mean my graphics card is defective?

Try to reinstall your video card driver, first.

All right, I uninstalled the current driver, ran drive sweeper, then installed an earlier version that I didn't have problems with. I'm still worried about the Blue Screen though. Would a faulty driver cause that, or could it be hardware related?

I have no answer. Run the computer for a while and see how it goes.
