I tripped over my wires and my laptop brutally fell to the floor.
My hdd started making weird sounds after that (for a short few seconds after the crash, some light.. scratchy, repeated sounds, don't know how to describe it).
Yes my first obvious idea is to immediately backup everything I have.
Should I be very worried for my disk now? I downloaded S.M.A.R.T. tools from SourceForge.net and
they aren't giving me much info after running some of the commands on my disk.
I' m worried if my hdd might be dying or if it is going to suddenly show some headcrash/click. I can't predict it.
I would like to know a way to predict it. I want to know the state, health of my hdd and if there are sector problems.
Thanks for letting me know.
Edit: I'm running CrystalDiskInfo at the moment and the hdd status says: "Good".
I'll post more detailed info in a few.
Here's my
disk report.
