    Program for drivers? Help!
    « on: October 14, 2010, 10:38:27 AM »
I've noticed that some of my drivers are out of date and needs to be updated! I am not very handy with drivers and such and have been looking around and found a program called Driver Checker. http://www.directdriverchecker.com/ for their home page. Is this program good? can it be trusted? I have tried similar type of progams before and they have pretty much been crap.

    Help?  :P

    1) DO NOT use third party software to update drivers
    2) Unless there is a specific need to update a driver, don't do it.

Why do you think that your drivers need to be updated? Are you having some sort of problem with them?

No they work fine, but I know my graphic drivers is out of date because I resently installed the new patch of world of warcraft on my computer. Before it has been able to use the ultra settings but now they added a lot of new graphics and suddenly I can't choose more than Good, the settings high, very high and ultra are dissabled. I read on the Official WoW site about someone else having the same problem, and he got the hint to update his drivers and it worked for him, So i guess I should give it a try :O

Don't worry about the os. I guaranty it's 32 bit.

Go to the website of your video card manufacturer and download and then install the latest driver. That's all there is to it.

The drivers at the HP website are from 2009. I don't know if they will be newer than the one you have.  Do you have the Intel graphics chip or the  ATI Radeon?

JJ - do me a favor - I've got this.

ZimOn - just go to the ATI website (if that's your video card) and download and install the driver for your video card.
