The shop told me as I have only a DONGLE for my laptop broadband...my new ipod won't work for a HOTSPOT.
Is thre a way round this? like a  router. I also have Wireless connect on my laptop. Hope you can help otherwise
I have spent £200 plus for nothing!!

Can you provide  some information? Which model is it? Does it work in the shop and not at your house?
Did you say iPod? Did you mean iPad?

Where are you? In the City? In a rural area?
How good is the connection on you laptop? What kind of Laptop?
How many Hot Spots have you tried? Are these Open Access Points?
Have you used Apple products before?
