ok, im new on this forum, and sorry if i do something wrong. ok. to the point,
how to change fil name on a .bat file, and how to change icon so anyone who get the fil can see that icon i add. Im on windows xp computer btw

i think you only can change the icon / file name of it if you have  created a short cut to the bat file

Why would you want to attach an icon to a bat file ? ?
You realise there are more than a few steps to make this happen....correct ? ?

You want to disguise a batch file as something else so you can get people to click on it thinking it is a different type of file, is that the "fun with friends" you had in mind? A prank, in other words?
