Open Spybot S&D, set to 'Advanced Mode', select 'tools' from the left hand side, then select 'Browser Pages' and see if everything listed looks legit.

I assume you have emptied your cache as well as your history files?

When I pinged Yahoo, it timed out, but did return the ip address, when I ping the ip address it timed out also.
Don't know the procedure to capture screen shot. But I tried yahoo.com twice and the ip address once all timed out. I had a fleeting Idea with not being able to ping that it could be an issue with the cable dsl, however I have the same problem on my dail up and the network at my work place, the isp doesn't seem to matter.

In the spybot report you suggested here is the report, doesn't seem to be anything out of place I can see.

      This is not good.
      Try pinging other sites...
      ping www.computerhope.com

Well it's a funny thing, when I pinged the 1st time around I tried yahoo.com, msn.com, Aol.com, internet2000.net, only one that would ping was internet2000.net, this time as you requested I tried computerhope.com it pinged, tryed yahoo.com it pinged this time internet2000.net and .com would also ping this time but msn.com and Aol.com would not. Some will work some won't Yahoo.com last time would not but this time would, explain that. Tried several times and it returned the ip address's so I know I have a viable address.

It's time you talked to your ISP and whoever supplies the line between you and your ISP. (Phone Company?)
