SOUND OF MY DESKTOP PC HAS VANISHED .

Sound of my desktop PC has suddenly vanished. Will reloading AUDIO  DRIVER  HELP  ? i HAVE Intel Desktop Board D101DGC CD of 2006 which came with the PC; I tried to install the driver with this CD but the CD does not run or read ; a window  appears  saying  " Express Installer failed  to  initialize  successfully  ( ED441203 )
Will somebody please guide  me to overcome this problem  and  get  the  SOUND  BACK ?

I jumped too soon on reinstalling. What do you mean vanished? Provide more info. on what happen and how do you test on your audio files.

That your system lost sound doesn't mean the board is outdated or not ok.
just reinstall the driver using hundred tools software or visit http://www.hundredtools.com after try this feed us back

You can ignore this. Only install drivers from the specific manufacturers website.

I think you cd is errored, I suggest that you should by an external sound card and install it on your PC and also install the driver cd of that sound card..........

I hope that the OP's sound card isn't trashed, in all likelihood it isn't.
