HDMI - can't hear the sound

When I connect my Video card (nVIDIA  9500GT) to my LCD-LED TV with the HDMI cable I can't hear any sound. The video card's control panel says that the sound is working but it isn't. What I have to do? *sorry for my english

yes, the both ends of the cable are HDMI connections

The control panel of the videocard ''says'' that the HDMI's sound is activated but it isn't!

Are you sure you are not using a DVI to HDMI connector on both ends? HDMI to HDMI will release audio/video outputs. According to the specs.,

HDMI support display for the GEForce 9500 gt is via adapter and audio input for HDMI is SPDIF.

Connect the SPDIF to your onboard sound/soundcard as specified audio input for your HDMI.

From jason's last link when i was doing the same type of connection i did this and it supplied good sound. But of course as is stated it involves an additional cable beyond the HDMI cable.
1) Passing audio directly from your analog onboard or add-in sound controller to your HDTV analog audio input. This method is fairly simple and involves using a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable. The 3.5mm connection goes into your sound card while the other end goes to your HDTV's RCA input (some HDTVs may use a 3.5mm analog audio input instead of an RCA input in which case you would need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable instead). This method is recommended for NVIDIA GeForce FX, GeForce 6, GeForce 7 series or GeForce 8 series GPUs (i.e. GeForce 6600, GeForce 7900GT)
