Length of google search input box between IE8 and IE9
    « on: December 20, 2011, 05:31:35 PM »
At the mo, have got XP Home and am dual booting with W7 to try it out.
Everyone says go for it as the main OS and dual boot if necessary with XP.
Never used Vista (yuk) but W7 seems a tad similar with more whistles and bells.
    Anyway, my question -
With XP, the max IE is version 8. On IE8's toolbar, the google search box is , l suppose, 100cm in length, which is great to see what you are typing in.
Now with W7 and IE9 the google search box is sort of non existant, ie. 15mm at most.
Can this be extended, or can l / should l revert back to IE8.
    Regards
