    Stuck?
    « on: December 25, 2011, 08:16:40 PM »
I have an older Sony camcorder (DCR-TRV350) that uses digital tape that I used to download onto my computer to edit when I was using XP.  I upgraded to 7 64 bit about a year ago and it wont recognize my camcorder.   I went to the Sony site to get an upgraded driver but there are none for Vista or 7. :P  Am I stuck with getting a computer with XP?

While patio's very definitive answer may turn out to be the certainty. Alternatively  IF you can extract the data (i assume audio/video) to another device such as a a camcorder that IS compatible with win 7 that could be another alternative. Hardware/software devices do exist for video audio transfers.truenorth

Thanks for the confirmation on that.  I want to get a 32 bit system going again anyway, I have lots of programs I can use on it
