Format the drive and load another operating system?

What kind of hardware are you working with?

What kind of hardware are you using? Formatting the drive will blank everything out. We need to know the computer make/model, amount of RAM, hard drive size, type of sound card, type of video card, etc. The more info the better BEFORE we start that!

Yes it will be gone, but you need to know what the components are and you need to have a different operating system available. How did you end up with NT again?

Okay...see NT is blocking access from me getting online after a certain time. She has children so maybe thats why she has it on there but i want to override that BUT i dont know how because she is out of town.  I dont think she would want me to delete all the contents on her computer.

NT 4 was reasonably secure for it's time, so I doubt if you'll getr anywhere. SHe must be a good mom!

If you can tell us what is the exact problem, may be there is a solution other than formatting.
