What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

Can you boot to safe mode?

Have you tried booting to the Vista cd and running startup repair options?

Good afternoon diegofercho21 and welcome to CH

Out of curiosity what model is your PC (i.e HP a810c etc) and what CPU (AMD or Intel) and do you know if the HD (hard drive) and CD drive are IDE or SATA and is windows set / doing "ALL" updates or just "required" ones?

Here are some of the reasons on my questions!

#1...From past experience on some PC's if it has "SATA" controllers some of MS updates will cause a BSOD or freeze on the welcome screen
#2...While booting did you get ANY errors? if yes then that may be why it just stopped at the WS (welcome screen)
#3...Does the PC meet all requirements for Vista?
      #4...Is "Vista" 32 or 64 bit?
#5...What is your processor (CPU) AND or Intel
#6...Is there any new hardware / software lately before the MS did it's update.

Hope to hear from you soon. Mike
