Not sure what my problem is with my computer

When I start my computer up it will go through the windows and then it will stay on a blue screen for 10 to 15 minutes and I have a Dell Inspiron M5010, on windows 7. What can I do to stop the blue screen and speed up my startup. Help Please

You need to explain in MUCH more detail.

EXACTLY what happens when you turn on the computer? EXACTLY what do you see and when do you see it? What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

Immediately at power up start tapping F8.
This will bring up Win7's Advanced Boot Menu...
Select Repair...highlight it and hit Enter...

Let it run to completion ...DO NOT interrupt it.

When I first turn it on I see the windows sign and then the screen turns blue and 10 to 15 minutes later then the I get my regular screen.

There is nothing different..I was on Facebook and then the computer boot me off and that's when it happen. I scan my computer and it tells me there is no virus and my computer was running normal.

ok tapping F8 didn't work it went straight to the blue screen.

ok it just sent me a explorer.exe-Application Error..It said the spplication was unable to start correctly.

Then you didn't start fast enough...

ok I did that and know it sent me to system recovery options which one do I choose now?

It has to choose from is 1.startup repair, 2.system restore, 3.system image recovery, 4.windows memory diagnostic, 5.command promp and 6.dell datasafe restore and emergency backup
