This should get you started:

Open up My Computer
Right-Click the drive you want to share
Select "Sharing & Security"
Acknowledge warning
Follow instructions.

Best to create a folder just for sharing, you don't really want to share the entire "C"-drive.  You can also create a separate partition just for sharing.

Which Tenda wireless router did you get?

I am having a look at what you wrote for me and will get back to you if it works , or not , since XP already has folders called shared folders i was trying to see if they worked first ... the problem was just trying to see the other computer

Yes that looks like it .... but I should still be able to see the other compuetr to share files by wif fi ..correct ....
It Also has something called wi-fi direct , but im not sure what it is or how it works , i think it is for file sharing but  you have to turn the internet bit off ,,, i did that once and it took me ages to get it back on ....
I will have to read up on it  first .....
What would be the easiest way to share files over wi-fi /.?
