    external hard drive
    « on: March 23, 2013, 05:29:19 PM »
New to the forum and computers. Dell Inspiron 531 w/Vista. My wife plays Farmville games and has multiple farms. I fell that these games take up alot of space on the hard drive and causing it for ever to  boot and restart. Would an external hard drive take some of the pressure off of the hard drive so it can perform better? Thanks in advance for any help.

The games are probably not the reason.

    Right.

The above reference does not indicate the host computer needs hard drive space as a requirement. This is a strategy game with no need for video animation. The graphics are very simple and compress well.
If the game is played on-line, the disk requirements are very low.
