How can I share a connection via USB modem?
    « on: June 17, 2013, 08:15:21 PM »
So I want to share an internet connection from my iMac (either directly through OS X or a WinXP virutal machine) or one of my laptops (XP/7) to a Windows 98 desktop via a USB modem.

I understand there must be some sort of way to set up a network, but as far as telling 98 what to dial and how to set up the connection, I'm not sure.

I'm using a Lenovo USB voice modem.

Any links to guides or direct feedback would help. I've googled the matter and just can't find what I'm looking for.

    Thanks!

You have OS 10.5 -Right? You want full files sharing?
I don't know. Windows 98 can be hard to network anyway.
If you have Windows XP, why not put it on the PC?
It is easier to get a Mac and a XP PC to transfer files. Windows 98 has issues.

Share Mac Files with Windows XP
That is about all I can think of.
