    windows not updating please help

    hi
    i`m using windows 8.1 on my hp laptop with auto updates enabled
    when i used it after a long gap of 2-3 months, a lot of updates (probably 11-12 updates) gathered.
    then i installed them all but 3.
    No matter how many times i restart and manually try to install these 3 updates they don`t install and say "3 updates failed"
    updates are :
    1.Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2955164)
    Download size: 97.3 MB
    2.Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2975719)
    Download size: 170.0 MB
    3.Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)
    Download size: 129.0 MB

      Clik where it says get help with this error and MS Fixit will run...

      If that does not work call MS....Update Support is Free.

      All three updates are for 64 bit systems. Is it possible your system is 32 bit?

      I suggest you try downloading the updates directly from Microsoft's download page for each of the updates.  For example, one of your updates can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42761  I recently encountered the same problem as you with one update and managed to get it installed by doing just as I have stated.

      Otherwise, do as patio suggested.

      Go to this folder:
      \Windows\Software Distribution\Downloads
      Delete all files & folders.

      Try update again.

        thanks everyone
        the issue was solved
        the updates took over automatically after i clicked on GET HELP WITH THIS ERROR
        although i`d 2 b more than patient as the size of update was very large...
